Susanna Noland was born about 1745, probably in Maryland. She was the daughter of William Noland and Joanna.[1] She is named as daughter Susanna White in her father's 1804 Berkeley County, Virginia (later part of West Virginia) will.[2]
She married Aquilla White 26 Jan 1765 in Rowan County, North Carolina, with the permission of her father, William Noland.[3]
They were living in Bedford, Pennsylvania in 1773 when Aquilla White appears on the tax list of Brothers Valley.[4] He also served in the 8th Pennsylvania Regiment during the Revolutionary War, serving on the Virginia frontier, and later applied for pension while a resident of Montgomery County, Kentucky, in 1818.
