Biography
Ashel Lloyd Northrup was born on 14 March 1896 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in the household of his parents, Charles Ashel Northrup and Edna J. (Hudson) Northrup, at 629 Pleasant, Rockford, Winnebago Co., Illinois.[2] He appeared on the census of 28 April 1910 in the household of his parents at 419 S. 8th St., DeKalb, DeKalb Co., Illinois.[3]
He began military service in the US Army on 22 June 1916. He ended military service on 29 Aug. 1919 as a Sgt. in A Co. 129th Inf.[4]
He appeared on the census of 8 Jan. 1920 in the household of his parents at 424 South 8th Street, DeKalb, DeKalb Co., Illinois.[5]
He married Florence[1] Barbara Ingram on 4 Mar 1921 at Cook Co., Illinois.[6]
He was a shoe salesman when he and Florence appeared on the census of 7 April 1930 at 324 W. 112th St., Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.[7] He was a shoe salesman when he and Florence appeared on the census of 3 April 1940 at 11928 Stewart AVe., Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.[8]
Ashel died on 26 June 1942 at Dwight, Livingston Co., Illinois, at age 46 and was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.[4][1] His memorial has a photo of Ashel and one of his headstone as well as a link to that of Florence.[9]
