Betty was the daughter of Joseph Charles and Hilda Hazel (Bigley) O'Neill Sr. She was born on 21 Aug 1942 in New Jersey.

Betty married Leslie James Sobotka on 18 Aug 1962 in Levittown, Pennsylvania they were living in Brown Mills, New Jersey at the time.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O'Neill, 21 Gatewood Road, Goldenridge, Levittown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Betty, to Sergeant Leslie Sobotka, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sobotka, Sheridan, Wyo. Miss O'Neill, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Levittown, is secretary to the high school's principal. Mr. Sobotka, a graduate of Sheridan High School, Sheridan, is serving with the U.S Army at Fort Dix in New Jersey. An August wedding is planned.

Levittown Church Scene Of Wedding

Miss Betty Catherine O'Neill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O'Neill, 21 Gatewood Road, Goldenridge, Levittown, became the bride of Sergeant Leslie Sobotka, U.S. Army, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sobotka, Sheridan, Wyo., on Aug 18.

The Rev. Robert Barbour performed the double ring ceremony at 4 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Levittown.

Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a white balerina-length dress designed with fitted bodice of chantilly lace with long, pointed sleeves. Her full shirt of nylon featured pleated tiers. She wore a lace crown with an elbow-length veil of illusion and carried a colonial bouquet of white gladioli.

Miss Patricia Paylor was the bride's only attendant. She was attired in a dress of blue nylon chiffon designed with lace inserts, and carried a bouquet of yellow gladioli.

Private John McDonald, Fort Dix, N.J., was the best man. Ushers included Robert O'Neill, Levittown, brother of the bride, and Carl Adams, Yardley.

A reception for 100 guests was held at Stoneymill Hall, Bristol, immediately after the ceremony.

The newlyweds are now residing in Brown Mills, N.J.

A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, the bride is currently employed there as secretary to the principal. Her husband is a graduate of Sheridan High School, Sheridan.

Betty died on 22 Jun 2022 in Holy Redeemer Hospital, Meadowbrook, Montgomery, Pennsylvania. She was buried in Titusville Methodist Church Cemetery, Titusville, Mercer County, New Jersey.
