Biography
Albert was born in 1848, a twin to Alma, and the son of Henry Olmsted and Elvia Tredwell..
He married Jean McPherson and they had a daughter Marion.
Allbert died in 1921 and is buried near his parents in the Machpelah Cemetery, Le Roy, Genesee County, New York.[1]
Research Notes
In the Machpelah Cemetery in Leroy, where his parent's are buried, is a marker for "Albert H. Olmsted, 1848-1921." The size and style of the marker is very similar to his parents. If that burial is this Albert then either (1) the marker has the birth year wrong, or (2) the 1912 Olmsted genealogy is wrong.
His wife, Jean's marker is the same style as Albert's.
There is no marker in the cemetery for a Marion Olmsted. There are no Olmstead listings in the cemetery.
Albert's ages in census: 1880 - 32; 1900 - 51 (though it also gives Apr 1849); 1905 - 57; 1910 - 62; 1920 - 72; thus consistency gives birth year as 1848 and the genealogy is wrong.
