Arthur Orr Sr performed Patriotic Service in Pennsylvania in the American Revolution.

Arthur Orr Sr is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A084202.

Arthur, known as "Arthur Orr Senior", was born about 1753, although no birth record has been located. His father is referred to as Arthur Orr "The Elder" and was living in Lancaster County and had bought land in York County during that time, so his birth was likely in one of those two counties.

Note: DAR record indicates birth in Lancaster County, PA and wife of Ann Scott

He married Ann Ryburn. They had a family of 14 children. ^[1]

He leaves the following:

Daughters Polly and Nancy - a bed, dresser and cubboard furniture, threee iron pots and a bake oven... Their spinning wheel and saddless, and each a cow...

I allow Ann McQuown's children to have a share equal to one of the twelve just named.[Note: the source cited on page 52 gives the name of Ann Orr's husband as James McQuown, rather than Isaac McQuown and gives her marriage date as Dec. 17, 1800.]
