[3] "Mrs. Lydia Ann Metzel, widow of Philip C. Metzel, died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning in the York hospital, where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. Death was caused by infirmities of age. She was eighty- four years old. The deceased is survived by a son, John C. Metzel, 478 Yale street; two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Brenneman, S06 Chestnut street with whom she resided, and Mrs. James Keller, of Lancaster; two brothers, George Orwig, of Bridgeton, and Simon Orwig, of near Stewartstown; a sister. Mrs. Jeremiah Schmuck, of near Stewartstown: eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Metzel was a member of the Fourth United Brethren congregation. Her body was removed from the hospital by C. A. Strack and Son. funeral directors. The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday from the Strack Memorial chapel. Interment will be in Prospect Hill cemetery."
