His name and age change from one census to the next. In the 1870 Census he was a farmer named Samuel and was born in 1840, and his wife’s name was Elizabeth. In the 1880 Census he was a constable named Hank and was born in 1838, and his wife was Bettie. In the 1850 Census he was named Samuel Hank and born 1838.
