Brenda, I just found A site from New Castle Delaware Marriage Records, 1645- 1850. Listed are many Parkers, but I do see the following:

George Parker - Mary Vance 21 February 1784.

I would assume that this must be Samuel's parents. What do you think?

I am curious about that date being 1784, but given the fact it is an index like Hannah's marriage record showing 1801, I don't think it is the correct marriage date. We know that George and Mary had grandchildren at that time. Also the deed lists Hannah's children as grown and married so I believe she also married before 1801.

Also, I have have made profiles for all the siblings, and placed the information I have. You can see the information and sources there. I will go ahead and link George, Parker-48177, as the father of Samuel rather than Joseph .

Update - The year 1784 is obviously when Mary Vance was shown in a will and her spouse was George Parker at that time.

Found out with Hannah that was the case. Based on the records for the distributive shares to the heirs of George Parker, deceased, the year 1801 is not when Hannah married. Monies were distributed to George Frazer & Hannah his wife, late Hannah Parker one of the Heirs on the 24th of February 1801. Hello Brenda, I have no proof on Joseph being the father of Samuel Parker. Samuel is my input on Wikitree but it shows Joseph as yours. I have seen many have used Joseph and Florida as Samuels parents but I have never found any proof of that. I would love to see what you have on Samuel's siblings as I have none of that either. John, Benjamin and George you say. I do not see them under your Joseph Parker. I will look through your data on Benjamin and his sister Hannah. Perhaps you can connect them all to Samuel in Wikitree. Thanks for the info and I am in Knoxville, TN for the next week and 1/2 but I have my computer so I will do a little digging around as time permits. Thanks for the help. Samuel was a very wealthy man and his daughter married into another very wealthy family so very interested in their history. His wife also has a nice line she descends from.

John,

A deed of gift was signed by Samuel Parker of the state of South Carolina, one of the sons of Mary Parker formerly Mary Vance (widow of George Parker) of the state of Delaware deceased, along with other heirs, to Elizabeth Vance Frazer, daughter of Hannah Parker Frazer on the 14th day of February 1826. Wow, now that is interesting. You may be on to something being from Delaware.

Hi John,

What document do you have that shows Samuel is the son of the Joseph Parker born in 1705? I am a little concerned that there was perhaps a younger Joseph who was the father since Samuel and his brother's were all born 1758 and later. I am also concerned that the father might not have been named Joseph.

I have documents that prove all of Samuel's brothers, John, Benjamin, and George, but need a source to prove the father.

Also, Benjamin Parker made a special bequest to his sister, Hannah, of the state of Delaware, and also gave her ten shares in the Bank of the United States...the said estate in Delaware... Do you have any reason/document to believe this family may have migrated from Delaware? Take a look at this marriage info in Delaware for Hannah: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GYQG-VHX?i=639&cc=1447341 That documents shows N. C. Co will of George Parker.

Samuel's father was George Parker. I have created a profile for Hannah Parker proving that part of the family had moved to Delaware.
