Biography

Thérèse Payet (Peyet on baptism, sic) was born on 15 October 1747, baptized in the 16th in L'Assomption, daughter of Claude Payet and Marie Apolline Baudry[1]

She gets called Marie Thérèse on a few records, obvious clerical addition, most records name her by her actual given name of Thérèse with no addition. She never used the family dit name of St-Amour.

Marriage
Marie Thérèse Payet married François Pelthié (sic, Peltier), son of François and of the late Angélique Hans dite Chaussée (Han dite Chausse), on 15 April 1765 in Repentigny[2]

12 known children to the couple, of which 4 are known to die young and 8 to marry[3]

Death
Thérèse Payet, wife of François Pelletier, died on 11 April 1807 and was buried on the 13th in St-Sulpice, the record giving her around 52 years of age. Cited as present were her husband, her sons François and Louis Pelletier, and son-in-law André Langlois.[4]

Payet Stamour-22 and Payet-105 appear to represent the same person because: My sources indicate that her name was Marie Therese, and that she and Francois had 14 children, including the four listed in the Payet-105 page.
