When Maud May Penfold was born on April 21, 1877, in Milford, Iowa, her father, James William, was 27 and her mother, Emily Jane (Stevenson) Penfold, was 25. She married Roy Bottsford Cain on April 2, 1893, the son of Ruell and Sarah Elizabeth (Powers) Cain in Burlington, Colorado. They had two children during their marriage Jennie Ruth and Lyle B. Maud was a proud wife, loving mother and homemaker, she died on May 4, 1961, in Wenatchee, Washington, at the age of 84, and was buried at Wenatchee City Cemetery next to her husband and son.

She marries Roy B Cain in Colorado, on 02APR1893.[1] (Research note: FamilySearch returns a number of records with seemingly conflicting dates. The dates appear as marriage dates but are actually document dates. The reference above is 2 images, i.e. back and front, that explains the differences.
