In the name of God, Amen, I Levi Pennington of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina, being in a low state of health, but of sound mind and memory do make and constitute this my last will and testament, in manner and form following.

1st. It is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid out of my estate.

2nd. I will and bequeath the residence of my estate both real and personal to my dearly beloved wife Margret Pennington to her, her heirs or assigns forever, to be wholly at her disposal.

3rd. I do appoint my dearly beloved wife Margret Pennington, executor, and my worthy friend Archebald D. Murphey executor to this my Last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this [blank]

Note regarding land: My papers are still boxed, but I had done research on who Levi III got the land from. If I remember correctly, the guy owned a tavern. He was almost giving sections of land away to help people out. Reason Levi III obtained the land location that he had. Source: Teresa Jo Gorge, 11/10/2006
