Biography
Augusta Laurilla, daughter of William Holmes Perkins and Hannah Day (Cogswell) Perkns, was born in Essex, Massachusetts, on 15 Sep 1848. [1]
Augusta L Perkins, age 18, born Essex MA, daughter of William H Perkins and Hannah D Cogswell, married Charles H Stone, cabinet maker, age 24, born Gloucester MA, son of William Stone and Mary E Willmonton, on 9 Feb 1867 at Manchester MA. [2] They had one son, Charles L (1871-1897). The couple divorced prior to 1898 when Augusta remarried. [3]
Augusta L Stone, age 47, born in Essex MA, daughter of Wm H Perkins and Hannah D Cogswell, married William Doogue /Dorque /Dosgue, painter, age 41, born in Salem, son of Michel Dorgue and Bertha Kelley, on 1 May 1898 in Manchester MA [4]
Her second husband died in 1917, and Augusta L. Doogue went to live with her niece Hannah Alice Proctor in Gloucester, Massachusetts. [5] [6]
Augusta died in 1933 and was buried with her husband in Rosedale Cemetery, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA. The headstone erroneously indicates her maiden name as "Hull". [7]
