Biography

Sarah Janetta Perkins was born 20 Apr 1860 in Cornwall, Stormont, Upper Canada. ^[1] She emigrated to the United States with her family as an infant. She lived in Otter Creek, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA with her family in 1880. ^[2] The 1900 census taken on 25 Jun shows Sarah working as a domestic servant in the home of Mansfield and Russie Arns who had 3 teenage children in Otter Creek. ^[3]

Sarah moved to Portland, Multnomah, Oregon about 1901. In 1920, Sarah was a boarder living at 1 E - 16th Street in Portland. ^[4] She was still living there when she died in Multnomah County Hospital on 12 Mar 1931. Her remains were cremated 14 March. ^[5]
