MULLINS WOMAN HURT IN CRASH
Mrs T Lide Smith in Critical Condition Florence Hospital. Four Others Injured
Special to the State Mullins, Nov. 21- Mrs. T. Lide Smith, prominent woman of Mullins County, is in a Florence hospital not expected to live as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile wreck on the Highway between Timmonsville and Florence last night.
Mrs. Smith, driving a sedan, collided with a truck. The Sedan turned over several times. In the car with Mrs. Smith were Mrs. H. O. Schoolfield, Mrs. J. R. Williams, Mrs. W. F. Norton and Mrs. B. Gary Smith, all of whom received injuries. All except Mrs. Gary Smith are patients at a Florence hospital.
Mrs. Gary Smith, who suffered only minor injuries, was brought to her home here. The party was returning to their homes here when the accident occurred. They had accompanied Mrs. J. R. Williams to Columbia to attend a Board Meeting of Epworth Orphanage. [2]

Florence, Dec. 21--Mrs. T. Lide Smith of Mullins died at a hospital here tonight from injuries she received in an automobile accident, near Timmonsville, Nov. 20.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Mullins Sunday afternoon at 2:30.
With Mrs. J. R. Williams, Mrs. Florence Norton, Mrs. H. O. Schoolfield and Mrs. Gary Smith. Mrs. Smith was returning to Mullins from a visit to Epworth orphanage when the car she was driving overturned as it was passing a truck.
Mrs. T. Lide Smith sustained a fractured skull. The other occupants of the car were not seriously injured. [3]

Special to the State Mullins, Dec. 22-All Mullins mourns the death of Mrs. T. Lide Smith, who died at a Florence hospital late Friday night as a result of serious automobile injuries on the highway near Florence Nov. 20.
Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late J. E. and Mrs. Perritt, pioneer Marion county residents. Surviving are her husband, T. Lide Smith, Mullins; one daughter, Mrs. George Evans Tweedie, Sanducky, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs J. L. Lambert, Marion; Miss Beth Perritt, Florence; Miss Celia Perritt, Mullins, who made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Smith; one brother, A. J. A. Pruitt, Lamar.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Macedonia Methodist church here, of which Mrs. Smith was a member. The Rev. C. C. Derrick, pastor of the church, assisted by several former pastors, will conduct the funeral services. [4]
