Sypert of Milan [sic] County and State of Texas, have made, constituted, appointed and by these presents do make constitute and appoint Mitchell Perry of Smith County and State of Tennessee our true and lawful Attorney for us and in our name and stead to demand and receive for us from one David H. Campbell or any other person having possession of or liable for the same, a distributive share, which is coming or may be coming to the said Permelia B. Sypert formerly Permelia B. Perry daughter of Benj. and Polly Perry, and her husband Wm Carrole Sypert, from one James High late of the County of Smith and State of Tennessee, all necessary receipts bonds and acquittances for us and in our names to execute for and about the same or any part thereof, giving and granting unto our said Attorney full power and authority to do and perform all and every act and thing whatsoever requisite and necessary to be done in and about the premises as fully to all intents and purposes as we might or could do if personally present with full power of substitution and revocation, hereby ratifying and confirming all that our said Attorney or his substitute shall lawfully do or cause to be done, by virtue thereof, hereby revoking all former powers of Attorney for this purpose In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals, this ninth day of April 1870 Eighteen hundred and Seventy.
