Biography

Mattie was born on February 21, 1879 at Winfield in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Ewell Phillips and Frances ( Litton ) Phillips . She married A.Y. West on September 3, 1905 in Scott County. Mattie passed away from coronary occlusion and generalized arteriosclerosis heart disease on February 29, 1956 at Helenwood in Scott County.
