Marguerite Boudrot veuve Binjamin Pitre is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 10 Right L'Amitie. Six children are listed with her: Etienne, Jean, Marie, Magdeleine, Cecille and Margueritte. [1]

Marie Pitre was born on 25 Nov 1761 in Ille-et-Vilaine, France, daughter of Benjamin Pitre and Marie Marguerite Boudrot. She was baptized at St. Suliac, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France the next day. [2]

Widowed Marguerite emigrated to Louisiana with her 6 children on 8 November 1785.[3]

Marguerite BOUDROT, widow of Benjamin PITRE, traveling with her six children as the 51st family (of 7 persons) aboard the ship "L'Amitie.

They were on a census in Lafourche Louisiana on 1 January 1788. She is 47 years old and head of her household with five children on 6 arpents of land. They have no slaves, 20 quarts of corn and 1 pig. [4]

She married about 1786 to Mathurin Antoine Marine. Their first known child was baptized on 14 Oct 1787 in Ascension, Louisiana.[5]

Marie died in Lafourche, Louisiane, États-Unis d'Amérique aged 64 and was buried on 2 Dec 1825 at Thibodaux.[6]
