Biography
William was born in 1851. He is the son of Francis Posey and Sarah Waldrop. William married Emily Martian, daughter of Thomas Martian (1824-1901) of Winston County. Neither William or Emily are on the 1880 census. Speculation is that Emily died in child birth and William was never head from again. William worked in the Coal Mines in the Lynn, Alabama area. One day he failed to come home after work although his horse and buggy were found at the mine. Maybe he was killed in the Mine. The three children, Nancy, Thomas David and Francis were adopted or taken in by Joshua Teague.
