Biography
Sarah was born in 1836. She is the only daughter of Philip Pratt and Susan Briggs. Sarah Susan's mother died only 2 years after her birth in 1838. There is no record of her father on the 1841 census.
Instead Sarah Susan (Sarah Pratt) is shown to be living with her maternal Grandmother: also Susan at Gloucester Street, Cambridge in 1841 and 1851.
On 9 Oct 1869 she married George Osbourse in Hinxton, Cambs.
She had several children with George: (1) Arthur John b1871 (2) William George b1872 d1944 (3) Ellen Susan Jane b1874 d <1881 (4) Charles E b1879 (5) Maria b1883
The 1881 census records Sarah Susan (age 43) with her husband George and 3 surviving male children in Nelson Street, Cambridge.
The 1891 census records Sarah Bonfield (Wife age 58) with Arthur (Step Son 19), William (Step Son 18) and (Step Daughter Maria 8) - (no Charles BTW) together with her 2nd husbands' children: George and Helen, both of whom were born in Bedfordshire. New Husband must have been away on Census night.
