Biography

Mary Prentiss was the daughter of Rev. Samuel Morrison Prentiss and Anna Wilcox Warren. Her exact date of birth is unknown, but she was probably born between 1823 and 1850. She is listed as a child of Samuel and Anna Prentiss in ancestry.com family trees. She was probably born in Ohio as were her siblings, and that was where her parents and family lived when the children were born. There are no records that provide data about her life. Her Father’s Funeral Service mentioned that her parents had 13 children, 10 of whom were living in December 1879, and three were dead. We have records that tell us which children were living in 1879. The three that were not living were Mary, Martha, and Lucy.
