Herbert Price (5) arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana on 18th March 1854, having embarked in Liverpool, England for Salt Lake, Utah aboard the SS Golconda. ^[4] Also aboard the Golconda was his brother, Charles Price (17), ^[5] his father William Price (45, a shoemaker) ^[6] and his mother, Ann Price (45) ^[7]

in 1860, Herbert Price (11) was living with his parents, William Price and Ann (both 50), in 19th Ward Great Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory, United States. ^[8]
