Research Notes
The children of Aquilla and his first wife are not in the family cemetery in Lousiana. He moved to Vincennes , Indiana from Kentucky in 1807 and delegated a Power of Attorney to take care of his affairs and then moved to south in 1809; Text from “On Sat., 3 Nov 1973 Alexander Stirling Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution met at the grave of Aquilla Whitaker and his second wife Ruhannah Price Whitaker to mark his grave as a Bicentennial project of the chapter, as he was a soldier of the American Revolution. “
