I found the parents of Nicholls-3885 in a book about P.T. Barnum. They are first cousins by P.T.'s aunt Laura (Taylor) Nichols, Taylor-12935. So many of the Connecticut Nichols are related to P.T. Barnum.

Hi, I am trying to find the parents of Edward Taylor Nichols (1816 - 1899) Nichols-3885, born in Danbury, Fairfield, Connecticut, died in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan. I am striking out. He was related to P.T. Barnum and I am trying to find the relationship. He was a business partner of P.T. and he mentions that they are cousins.
