Research Notes

The enlistment records show an enlistment date of 6 Oct 1945 but the interment record indicates World War II service. There are records of his being on transport ships in the 1930, including posting to Schofield Baracks in Hawaii.[9][10][11] This last fact is also supported by the Apr 1940 census records.[5] It is not clear whether he was still located there on 7 Dec 1941 or what his activities were during the war. Also, it seems that he died while in service but not whether the cause was service related. In the transport lists, he shows variously as Air Corp and Medical Corp.
