Biography
Andrew Derr Race age 70 of rd#1 Dallas,PA, died unexpectedly at home Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1975. He was born on Oct. 2, 1904 at rd#1 Dallas, PA. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired mechanic and farmer. At the time of his death he was employed as a school crossing guard for the Dallas Area Schools. Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Frey, one son Andrew O. of R.D.#1 Dallas, PA and one daughter, Mrs. Elwood F. Patton of Tunkhannock , two brothers, John of R.D. #3 Idetown and Leon of R.D.#1 Dallas, PA.
The funeral was held Jan. 4, from Disque Funeral Home in Dallas with the Rev. Truman Reeves, Pastor of the Centermoreland Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at the Orcutt Cemetey in Noxen, Wyoming Co., PA.
