She married Benjamin F Rouse on November 8, 1883, in Kankakee, Illinois; he was the brother of her older sister Alice's husband. They had two children during their marriage. She died on April 10, 1924, in Schneider, Indiana, at the age of 58, and was buried in Lowell, Indiana.
