In the Canadian 1911 Census Edward is living with his brother Francis in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada. He is single, a farmer and records his religion as Methodist [5].
On the 22nd February 1916, Edward signed to join the Canadian Expeditionary Force in World War I. He gives his occupation as Railway Commissary [6].
Edward married Dorothy Thornton on the 25th July 1920 in Kentville, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada. They had at least one child: Edward Thornton Rashleigh [7]
Edward John Rashleigh died on the 17 July 1969 at Sidney, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, Canada. He was buried at North Saanich, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, Canada in the Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery [8].
