Biography

Jane Reed was born on 25 February 1769 in Boothbay, Maine. Her parents were Paul Reed and Margery (Beath) Reed^[1].

She married Joseph Campbell on 9 February 1792 in Boothbay^[2]. They had five children^[3]:

1. Betsey, born 29 Mar 1794; never married

2. James, born 29 Oct 1798; married Mary Brewer

3. John, born 28 May 1800; left for Salem, Mass.

4. Matilda, born 26 Oct 1803; married Alfred Hodgdon

5. Joseph, born 3 Mar 1814; died young

Jane died on 12 March 1814^[4] in Boothbay^[3].
