Jacob was born about 1777. [1] He was the son of Peter Rees and Barbara (Martin) Rees.

Dennis Rees
Peter and Barbara do not appear to be Jacob’s parents. There is no known evidence to suggest they are.

More likely is a John Reese living near Gettysburg, PA in 1813 at his death. Orphans Court records indicate a relationship with Jacob and mentions all his known siblings.
