Emma Elizabeth McDaniel was born January 26, 1905, at Hiawatha, KS. She was the first born of six children to James Ewing McDaniel and Maudessa May Reeve McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel was a butcher by trade. He and Maudessa were married Sept. 5, 1903 in Hiawatha. Is anyone familiar with these names or relation?
May 8, 1885, to Alexander and Laura Reeve, a daughter was born. She was named Maudessa. When she was 3 years of age, she was taken into the Charlie Cole family where she grew up to be known as Maud Cole. She was born and grew to womanhood in Mankato, KS. On Sep 5, 1903, she was married to James Ewing McDaniel. To this union 4 daughters and 2 sons were born. They were Emma, Mable, Alice, Mary, Don and Dick. After the death of her first husband, she married Zay Vermillion on Sep 24, 1929. She died in her home northeast of Mankato on May 31, 1947. She was buried in the Mt Hope Cemetery. Alex Reeve, 78, who has been critically ill for some time at the home of a neice, Mrs Frank Brewer, here, died at 12:45 o'clock Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted from the local M. P. Church at 10 o'clock Monday morning with the Rev. Clyde Haven of Muncie and the Rev. C. O. Johnson of the local church in charge. The following children survive: Mrs. E. M. Johnson of Dunkirk, Mrs. Wilber Overman of Cambridge, Kan.; Mrs. Ben Reeve of Nelson, Neb.; Mrs. Ed Jeffries of Kansas City, Mo.; Oren Reeve of Clevor, Mo., and Mrs. Zay Vermillion of Mankato, Kan. Burial will be made at the I. O. O. F. Cemetery at Matthews

Johnson of Mill Grove, Ind., Mr. Ben Reeve of Grand Island, Neb., and Mr. Orin Reeve of Clever."
