John Henry George Reeves, known as Johnie, was born on October 30, 1913 in West Ham, Essex, England. He was the youngest of three children and the only son born to Jack Reeves and Hannah Hemmings. In the 1939 register he is listed as a munitians worker living in West Ham with his parents and his eldest sister. ^[1] In 1940 he married Kathleen Cripps at West Ham and they had two children, John died on August 13, 1990 at Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
