Biography

Married James Clinton.

1840 Census has Rebecca Clinton listed as a head of household, along with 2 boys aged 5-10, one girl under age 5, and one woman aged 30-40 (Rebecca was age 32).

In the 1850 census, she is listed with William J (age 19, born in York), Mary A (age 17), William J (age 18, born in Chester), and James C (age 8). The other households on the census page are Reid, presumably she is living near her family.

1870 Census lists "Reabecca" Clinton, age 62, keeping house, and living with Rebecca McCullough, age 18.

The 1880 Census lists Rebecca Clinton (age 72), in a household with granddaughters Nancy (20) and Eliza (17) Ashcraft, and Mary (born July 1879) and Joseph (born May 1880), both without a relationship description.
