Biography

John Revere was a son of a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).

John Revere's father was Apollos "Paul" Rivoire, aka "Revere", a French-born Huguenot Protestant refugee who emigrated to New England via the English-governed island of Guernsey, Channel Islands, in 1716. Paul Revere Sr. was a well-known silver and gold-smith in Boston in the 18th Century. His oldest son, Paul Revere Jr., b: 1735, was a famous American Revolution patriot; he was John Revere's older brother.

He was a tailor by trade in Boston, Massachusetts.

John Revere was married twice. First wife was Anna Clemens[1] and the second marriage was to Silence ( Silent? ) Ingerfield [aka: Ingarfield, Ingfield] .

Research Notes

DEATH DATE MUST BE WRONG IF HE MARRIED AGAIN IN 1785 before Rev. John Eliot in the New North Church in Boston, to Silence Ingerfield[2]

ALTERNATE DEATH DATE: 8 JUL 1801 in Boston, Suffolk Co., MA[3]. The accepted death date has always been extracted from John Boyle's 1775 [4]

I do not think John Revere had any children that lived to Adulthood except possibly an Edmund Revere ?
