Francis was born in France about 1825, the son of Peter and Claudine Revoire.
He was living in Malden, Massachusetts, by at least 1861, when he enlisted to serve in the Civil War as a 40 year old dyer. He mustered in as a Private in Company K of the Massachusetts 17th Infantry on July 22, 1861. He was discharged for disability on January 28, 1863.[1]
He was married Anne Wood and they had at least one child, a daughter named Claudine, who was born in Malden in 1869. [2] The Malden directory of 1870 lists him as a dyer.
He died in 1873 when he was 48 years old. His is buried at the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.[3]
