Biography

Isaiah Rich was born on 05 August 1744 in Truro, Barnstable County, (then) Province of Massachusetts Bay, the son of Sylvanus and Mary (Lumbart) Rich.^[1][2]

After both his parents died, in 1755 and 1759, his uncle Zaccheus Rich was named as his guardian.^[3]

He married Joanna Paine, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Vickery) Paine, in Truro on 12 March 1767.^[1][4]

Isaiah died in Truro on 01 May 1790 in his 45th year of consumption, and was buried in the Old North Cemetery in Truro.^[5][6][1]
