Job entered the ministry of the Primitive Methodist Church in 1861 and was received into full connection in 1872; went into the Wesleyan Methodist Church at the union of 1874; was in the ministry for 67 years and an active minister for 45 years. He was one of the old pioneer, saddlebag preachers up to the time of his sudden death.

Charges: Bearbrook; Thurso; Aylwin; Robinson North Gower; Lakefield, West Farnham; Verona; Wolfe Island; Seeley's Bay; Playfair; Portage Du Fort; Maberly. He was superannuated 1905-6, but in 1907-8 supplied at Inverary. He was permanently superannuated in 1909 and took up residence in Kingston, Ontario.
