Biography

Sarah Roberts was born about 1755, possibly in Enfield, Middlesex.

Sarah married Samuel Taylor on 7 Nov 1773 at St Andrew, Enfield, Middlesex. The entry states that both Samuel and Sarah were living in the parish of St Andrew, and neither had been married before. Neither could write as they both made their mark 'X'. The ceremony was performed by Reverand Newbon the vicar, and witnessed by Theophilus Tibbs and Richard Rivers. [1]

Samuel and Sarah had a daughter Catharine Taylor before 16 Mar 1774 as she was baptised on that date at St Andrew, Enfield, Middlesex. [2]

Samuel and Sarah had a son John Taylor before 7 Apr 1776 as he was baptised on that date at St Andrew, Enfield, Middlesex. [3]
