From Genealogical and Personal History of Western Pennsylvania:
George Robertson, who was born in Scotland, emigrated to this
country, but it is a matter of doubt whether or not his parents ever left their
native land. He settled in the state of New York, where he had two
brothers, Philip and Oakley. He was a farmer in Dryden township, Tompkins
county, New York, where he bought a tract of land from a land company.
He was one of the men of influence in the locality, and assisted in
attracting new settlers to the district. He married Mary Smith, and had
children : Thomas, John, Theodore, Philip, of further mention ; Robert,
Cyrus, Smith, Mott, Permelia, Corella, Phoebe, Paulina.

I reversed the merge, keeping the older ID. I think I did a decent job merging the text and sources, but check through to confirm. The family looks great with all of the children linked up now too.
Looks good! Thanks for completing the merge. I added the line through your George C and Mary Smith Robertson to Philip-->George C (b. 1840)-->long with his children.
I filled in some of the estimated / referenced information for the father of George, Robert Robertson, and added his mother (Robert's wife) Josephine. Not much detail, but at least it's a start.
Robertson-17752 and Robertson-11124 appear to represent the same person because: same first name, last name, birth year, birth country, same son Cyrus, same spouse, same death date.
