Samuel was born to Henry Roby and Ruth Moore in Hampton, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire in 1659. He married Mary Page about 1685 and had 10 children[1] of their own plus they took in his brother John's children (7) after he was killed by Indians to raise as their own. (see children below). Samuel died in 1717 in Hampton.
