1960 : Their farmhouse : When you entered the front door you could see back through the dinning room into the kitchen. Entering the front, there was a room on the left where " Grandma Great " lived. The sofa was heavy Victorian burgundy velvet and there was a big oak rocking chair : the dinning room buffet had three shelves and curved glass. Her son, Lawrence, bought her the above furniture and a kitchen stove before he married at age 29.

She was a big, hearty, a good cook, and the family all went their on Sunday.

MRS. EDITH OLIVE ROGERS, age 83, of RD1 Hopedale, died Tuesday at her home.

She leaves a husband, Walter E. Virtue ; two sons, Walter E. Virtue of Hopedale and Lawrence Virtue of Scio ; daughter, Margaret Mozingo of Hopedale ; brother, J. F. Rogers of Hopedale.

Arrangements by Blackburn Funeral Home, Hopedale. Burial at Center Unity Cemetery.
