Biography
According to the (unverified) research M. Lachance did on PRDH (and wrote on nosorigines.qc.ca) Alexandre was born around around 1726 in Pergestin, Scotland[1]
Alexandre Ross married Josephe Aiot (sic, Ayotte), on 14 Feb 1774 in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière[2], being listed as son of Hustin (?) Ross and Catherine Ross, of Pergestin (parish of Scotland) (Note: Pergestin is how this was transcribed, the original is hard to read in parts and the place name is uncertain because of that, FamilySearch records for the parish that are accessible stop in the 1720s, so no comparison has been possible so far.)
5 known children from this marriage, 1 known to die at 33 (Augustin), apparently single, and 3 known to marry. [3]
Alexandre Ross was buried on 6 March 1786 in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, being given the approximate age of 60 and some years on this record.[4][5]
