Biography

Jean-Baptiste Ross was born on 16 January 1776, and baptized on the following day at Saint-Joseph-de-Maskinongé, Maskinongé, Québec.[1] He married Marie Dupuis, daughter of Jacques Dupuis and Marie Louise Vanasse (Marie Louise Vanasse dit Bastien), on 11 February 1805 at the same parish.[2] He was living as a farmer in the same place as of 1851 and 1861.[3][4] He died on 15 January 1867 and was buried at Saint-Joseph-de-Maskinongé on the 17th.[5]
