Fanny M. Ross was born in Ohio 7 Jul 1848, daughter of Stephen Decatur Ross and _____ King.[1]
She might be the Melissa Ross, age 2, in the 1850 census with Stephen Ross and Jane, in Gallia, Ohio.[2]
She's also Melissa in 1860 (same family, but mother is now Sarah J.), now in Ripley, Brown Co., Ohio.[3] Enumerated with them this year is an Eliza King, also born Virginia (as is wife Sarah). The King surname aligns with the Fanny's mother's maiden name provided on her death record.
She might be the Fanny Ross, part of an Ohio-born family (exceptions: (step?) mother Sarah b Virginia) enumerated in Cattlesburg, Kentucky in 1870. Father is Stephen D. Ross, a cooper.[4]
Fanny married Thomas Yauch in Lawrence Co., Ohio in 1875.[5]
In 1880, they lived in Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio with two children.[6]
Fanny had six births, but only two survived to adulthood.
Fanny died in 1922 at the age of 73 of bronchial pneumonia.[1]
