I would suggest that you detach both of these Hannah's from James and the children, and open a new profile for Hannah Hilton daughter of John Hilton
How would he marry in Bolton if he lived in USA?
James Rothwell's profile has come up on our Data Issues list because of the issues with his marriage information. At the moment it shows: 1) he married two different people on the same day - one Hannah Hilton and the other Sarah Ann Hilton - both on 7th October 1849. 2) he married two different people with exactly the same name - one Hannah Hilton in 1849 and a second Hannah Hilton in 1874.
Looking online I can see a marriage register entry in 1849 for a marriage to Hannah Hilton but no entry for Sarah Ann. Nor can I find an entry in 1874.
So I assume that the only marriage was with Hannah Hilton in 1849.
