Biography
Jean Roy was born on 23 Jun 1767 in Saint-Michel parish in Bellechasse, Province de Québec. He was the son of Guillaume Roy and Magdelaine Gravel.
At age 28 Jean married Françoise Dallaire on 23 Nov 1795 in Saint-Etienne parish in Beaumont, Bas-Canada. There were seven known children born into this marriage.
Jean Roy died at age 65 on 20 Jun 1833 in Saint-Etienne parish in Beaumont; he was buried four days later on 24 Jun in Saint-Etienne parish cemetery.
