Biography

Jonathan was born about 1697 and passed away after 1747, when he is listed as a debtor to the estate of Benjamin Doughty of Princeton (see NJ archives vol. 30 p. 147). Monette's first settlers of ole Piscataway and Woodbridge, p. 627 adds Jonathan born 1697 or 1701 as a child of John Runyon and Anna Dunn. Research Notes

"Comptonology wishes to call attention to the family of John Runyon, son of Vincent and Ann Martha Boucher Runyon, b. 1669, d. before 1744; date of 1744 is indicated in will of Samuel Dunn (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dunn-181#Extract_of_Will) Piscataway, which calls sister, Elizabeth Runyon, a widow in 1744. This John and Elizabeth Dunn Runyon had these children: (a) Martha b. 1693, (b) John b. 11-16-1695, moved to the Rocky Hill Region, Somerset Co. N. J. md. Ann Eliza Freeman, d. in 1745, we do not know the names of his children; (c) Samuel b. 1699 lived in Hunterdon Co. had wife Hanna; (d) Nathaniel b. ca. 1701 lived in Somerset Co. near Prince Town; (e) Jonathan b. 1697 as given in Vol. N. J. Archives p. 147; (f) Vincent b, 1702 d. 1749 md. left dau. Elizabeth and daughter Elizabeth was appointed administrix of estate 1749 (Ege p. 70, also see wills of Som. erset Co. N. J.) Due to John Runyon's family living largely in Somerset Co. N. J., one near Rocky Hill, and John had son Jonathan, it looks likely that John and not Reuben [was?] the grandfather of Jonathan who md. Rachel Compton, and entirely likely that Jonathan had son Jonathan jr."[1]

Possible Residence 1764 • Somerset, New Jersey, USA Jonathan Runyon is mentioned as having land along the Raritan road, North of Samuel Staats Coejmans Esq.[2]

Runyon-363 and Runyon-528 appear to represent the same person because: Same dates. 363 has biography that matches 528.

Has anyone examined whether this Jonathan is the same as Runyon-363 and Runyon-357--both profiles seem fairly empty so could be merged? I'm very interested in him and possible descendants.
