Temperance Tempy Russell was born on September 28, 1824, ^[1] in Elbert County, Georgia, the child of Nancy.

She married John S Denney on October 7, 1845,^[2][3] in Elberton, Georgia.

In 1891 she married her second husband. ^[4]

She died on June 11, 1906, having lived a long life of 81 years.^[1]
