Note on LNAB (last name at birth): The original surname spelling was Sabin and Mary Sabean's father, Jeremiah was born as Jeremiah Sabin (1732-1815) in Berwick, York County, Maine. After he relocated to Nova Scotia the Sabean spelling variation seems to have taken hold on his extended branch of the family.

Hello Allen. Re the 2 Mary's should be merged (See John Grant profile) . Her LNAB seems to have changed from Sabean (which goes all the way back to William Sabean of early Massachusetts (he had 20 children and they all keep the Sabean spelling for a good many gens then their LNAB begins to change) so I propose we use both spellings in order to facilitate future record searches. Her father John is present in some early Digby land records as Sabean but I still think it's a help to future researchers/descendants if we use both spellings. Is this acceptable to you? Leigh Anne
