However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
The baptismal record of Ebenezer's & Hannah's children spell the name Sampson. Some other records might show Samson (prob why I noted it elsewhere), but that is a contemporaneous record. Otherwise, this does seem to be the same person. So, no, I do not approve the merge changing the name to Samson.
