Biography

John's baptism is unknown, however, a male named John (no surname or parents) was baptised at St Leonard Shoreditch 30 Nov 1730. He was apprenticed to Robert Monk in 1743 and turned over to Robert Murdon in 1748 to complete his apprenticeship. He was admitted to the Worshipful Company of Coopers in July 1752 when he would have been at least 21 years old.
